Terms and Conditions

The Promotion, is subject to these Terms and Conditions (“Ts and Cs”). Please find a full list of Ts and Cs on our website www.eastgateshops.co.za

1. Excellerate Brand Management (Pty) Ltd (“EBM”) and Eastgate Shopping Centre, the landlord being Liberty Group Limited (Registration No.: 1957/002788/06), 2 Degrees Properties Proprietary Lim­ited (Registration No: 2017/665219/07) and managed by JHI Retail (Pty) Ltd (Registration No.: 2013/192532/07) are the promoters of this promotion (collectively referred to as “the promoters”).
2. The promotion is open to all Eastgate Shopping Centre shoppers who are residents and citizens of South Africa (“participant(s)”) who are in possession of a valid identity document or valid passport; except for any director, member, partner, employee, agent, consultant, and tenant (store owners, staff, etc.) of the promoters, the marketing service providers and/or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoters, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members. A minor who enters the competition undertakes that he/she does so with his/her parent’s/legal guardian’s consent.
3. The competition runs from Monday, 1 July 2024 and closes on Sunday, 18 August 2024 at 23:59.
4. Any entry by a participant is subject to these Ts and Cs and by entering this promotion, all partici­pants agree to be bound by them.
5. To enter the promotion, the participant will be required to visit Eastgate Shopping Centre during the campaign period and spend R500 or more at the following Eastgate Shopping Centre stores located on the lower level:

• Mervis Jewellers
• Yuppie Chef
• Exclusive Books
• Vida e Caffe
• Edgars
• Mochachos
• Panarottis
• Mattress & Couch
• 8DVR

Participants will be required to scan the QR code and complete the digital entry form indicating their personal details, take a picture of their till slip(s)and upload it with the entry form.

6. Till slips dated 1 July 2024 onwards will be accepted.

7. Multiple till slips will be accepted, provided the participant spent across various stores on the same date.

8. All participants in the promotion will be entered into the draw for the main prizes of R10 000.

9. Eastgate Shopping Centre tenants and their staff are excluded from entering this competition.

10. There will be 1 (one) main prize winner who will win a R10 000 shopping spree from Eastgate Shopping Centre. Weekly prizes are also up for grabs for participants who comment on the social media post on the Eastgate Shopping Centre social media platforms. The winner will be announced on 23 August 2024 and contacted telephonically. 

11. Under no circumstances can any aspect of the gift card be transferred to someone else,   amended, extended or exchanged for cash.

12. To the extent permissible in law, the promoters are not responsible and cannot be held liable for any accident, injury, harm, death, loss, or damages of whatsoever nature, howsoever arising, because of the participant’s participation in the promotion.
